Let’s be honest, folks. Babies are amazing little miracles, but sometimes… those miracles come with a screaming soundtrack. I, for one, have spent many an hour swaying and shushing, feeling like I’ve tried everything to calm my little one down.

Here’s the thing I’ve discovered: there are two types of music for crying babies.

Round One: Calming Classics

This might sound obvious, but there’s a reason lullabies exist! For my baby, classical music works wonders. Gentle melodies by Mozart, Chopin, and Debussy seem to soothe their little soul. It’s like magic (or maybe just science, but who cares when it works?).

Round Two: Mom/Dad Needs a Break!

But listen, there are times when even the softest symphony can’t drown out the cries. Those are the moments when this tired mama/papa reaches for the headphones (and maybe a cup of coffee!).
