Why Do Women Want to Change Everything in the House After Having a Baby? And How to Fix It
I recently had a boy with my girlfriend, and our life has been a whirlwind of joy and sleepless nights. But there's one thing that's been keeping me up even more—the sudden urge to redecorate our entire house! I'm not talking about a few minor tweaks; I mean a full-blown overhaul. Why do women feel the need to change everything in the house, especially after having their first child?
It started with the lights. Suddenly, our perfectly fine lamps were deemed too harsh, and we needed softer, more "baby-friendly" lighting. Then came the paintings. The abstract art we both loved was replaced with pastel-colored canvases featuring cute animals and serene landscapes. I get it, we want our little one to grow up in a calming environment, but did we really need to turn our living room into a scene from a children's book?
The furniture was next on the hit list. Our comfortable, modern couch was swapped for a plush, oversized sectional that's supposedly better for family movie nights. And don't even get me started on the nursery. It's like a baby furniture store exploded in there—a crib, changing table, rocking chair, and enough storage bins to hold a small town's worth of diapers and onesies.
