My Best Therapy Session? It’s a Hilarious Netflix Show You Might Not Expect

Listen, I’ll admit it. I’m not a huge TV buff. Usually, I’d rather be out walking or running than glued to a screen. But there’s this one show on Netflix that’s become my secret weapon for those days when the world feels a little...off kilter.

It’s called "Alpha Males," and let me tell you, it’s not your typical hero worship kind of show. It follows these four regular guys, about my age (early forties), who are just trying to navigate a world that seems to have passed them by. Their whole "king of the castle" thing? Yeah, not so much anymore. And the women in their lives? Well, let’s just say they’re calling the shots these days.

Here’s the thing, though. Watching these goofballs fumble (hilariously, I might add) through their masculinity crisis is weirdly comforting. It’s like a reminder that we’re all just human, trying to figure things out, and that even the most "alpha" dudes have their moments of feeling lost.

Plus, the show is laugh-out-loud funny. These characters? Completely relatable, flaws and all. There’s Pedro freaking out about his job security, Luis tripping over himself in his open relationship, and Santi...well, you’ll just have to meet Santi. Trust me, he’s a character.

Maybe it’s because Alpha Males tackles the whole "what does it mean to be a man today" thing head-on, without sugarcoating it. Maybe it’s because it shows that even the toughest guys can learn and grow. Or maybe it’s just because it’s damn funny.

Whatever the reason, Alpha Males has become my go-to show when I need a pick-me-up. It’s a reminder that we’re all in this together, and that even when the world feels a little crazy, there’s always room for laughter (and maybe a little self-reflection).
