I’ll be honest, I was a social media addict. Scrolling through Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook had become a mindless habit, eating up hours of my day. But then I decided to try a little experiment: I deleted all the apps from my phone and committed to a month without social media.

The results were astounding. I discovered I had been spending an average of 3 to 4 hours a day on these platforms — time that could have been used for so much more. Suddenly, I had hours of newfound freedom.

I decided to fill that void with something I’d always wanted to try: Tai Chi. Now, I’m not saying I’m a master, but I’ve made incredible progress in just a few weeks. I’ve also been reading more, exploring new hobbies, and spending quality time with loved ones.

But it wasn’t just about the time I saved. I noticed a significant improvement in my mental well-being. I felt less anxious, more present, and less bombarded by the constant stream of information and comparisons that social media often fosters.
