Let’s be honest, I was a phone addict. Three hours a day glued to that glowing rectangle, a mindless scroll through social media and news feeds. Sure, there were funny cat videos and occasional bursts of connection, but mostly it felt like a black hole sucking away my time and focus.

The tipping point? A silent family dinner turned into a competition of glowing screens, a missed sunrise because I was lost in a travel blog instead of experiencing the real deal. I knew something had to change. That’s when I decided to take a drastic step: a three-month digital detox. No smartphone.

The first week was a shocker. My pocket buzzed with phantom notifications, an itch I couldn’t scratch. A strange sense of isolation washed over me, a disconnect from the world I thought I craved. But slowly, the tide started to turn.
Silence Became My Superpower
At first, the silence was deafening. But then, the world started to sing a new song. Birds chirped outside my window, conversations at cafes became vibrant tapestries of sound, and the rhythm of my own footsteps on walks became a soothing soundtrack. The world was alive with sounds I’d been missing.
